Two groups of 19 volunteers from 4 Dutch organizations - Novadic-Kentron, Gevangenenzorg Nederland, Cosa Reclassering Nederland and Exodus - participated in the CoPPer European Training Programme for Volunteers on Probation, held on 5-6 November in the Netherlands. The training was delivered by CoPPer team members Marco Brok and Melinda Lewis from Reclassering Nederland. They received valuable inputs from the participants regarding the contents and structure of the programme.
“Thanks for the special day today!
A gift and a privilege to be able to participate in this. I have the feeling that I have quickly flown through a big cloud of the many possibilities within the work that I am allowed to do for COSA...! I am even more convinced and motivated of the purpose of our work at COSA. But I have also experienced how important it is to have good training/practice/experience/knowledge about this subject.
I look forward to the conclusions and the broad overview from you in a European context! What a beautiful assignment, how meaningful and I am so proud that I could be a tiny part of this for a moment!!
Kind regards and good luck!” - Anne-Mieke Lubbers, One of the participants.
The Project team is looking forward for the pilot groups in the other partner countries, to gather feedback and improve this important outcome of the Cooper Project.
Thank you and well done Melinda and Marco!
