The piloting phase with volunteers is now underway. The Dutch Probation Service conducted three different pilot sessions with a wide range of volunteers from various organizations.
The entire training was presented to them, from the webinar to the actual training exercises. We experienced how important it is to bond with your client and how easy it is to find common ground when you just take the time.
We also saw how crucial—and challenging—it is to simply listen. Communication skills proved to be a fundamental element of the training. Additionally, we had great discussions on observation and interpretation.
Overall, our volunteers were excited and confirmed that we are on the right path.
Now, it’s time to evaluate. We are currently collecting feedback forms to gather valuable insights from our volunteers. Combined with the experiences of our other partners, we are committed to creating the best possible training.
